AFFILIATION

The BA (Journalism & Mass Communication) is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. It is the First University established in 1998 by Government of NCT of Delhi under GGSIPU Act 1998. GGSIPU is recognized by UGC (University Grant Commission), India under section 12B of UGC Act. It is a NAAC ‘A’ Grade University.

TEACHING PEDAGOGY

The institute provides a harmonious mix of classroom learning and practical approach. In addition to the classroom learning various innovative methods are adopted such as case studies, web based learning, role playing, presentations, seminars, quizzes and debates for adequate learning.

BA(JMC) program is a regular three year undergraduate highly dynamic and an intricate program. The course is formulated so as to mold the perspective and temperament of the students according to the multidimensional need of the industry.

BAJMC is an apt career choice for students who are always curious about the happenings going on around them and for those who wants to master the skills of writing and reporting the event to the masses through mass media platform. It also escalates their communication and analytical proficiency.

The course work is also combined with regular industrial visits, live recording sessions, news anchoring, presentations, shooting documentaries, etc. The institute also have world class infrastructure for uninterrupted development of the students.

Curriculum

The BJMC programme is divided into six semesters. Each semester comprises of practical and theoretical subjects, so the student is familiar with both the aspect of the course.

Each academic session of the course is divided into two semesters (August-December & January-May). In each semester examination and evaluation is carried out according to the scheme laid down by the University. Every paper is of 100 marks.

Scholarships (By Uttar Pradesh Government)

Scholarships based on class 12th score
  • 95% in above in class 12th - 50% of first year tuition fee
  • 85&-89% in class 12th - 25% of first year tuition fee.
  • 80%-84% in class 12th 15% of first year tuition fee

NOTE- Relaxation of 5% to girl students on the above mentioned percentage.

Sports Scholarship
  • Zonal Zonal Level Player : 5% of tuition fee each year
  • State State Level Player : 10% of tuition fee each year
  • National National Level Player : 15% of tuition fee each year
Defence Scholarship

Children of defence personnel are provided scholarship up to 10% of Tuition fee each year. The student has to produce I-d cards of their parent at the time of admission as a proof of service. The scholarship is also extended to the wards of Ex- Servicemen.

Bank Loan

Students can avail study loan from any of the nationalized banks
