The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) enrolment window is anticipated to commence in July 2025 by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs). The CLAT 2025 Application Form must be completed before the deadline for law candidates aspiring to be admitted through CLAT 2025. The CLAT 2025 exam dates are yet to be released. Filling out the CLAT application may be challenging for first-time applicants. Candidates will be instructed on how to accurately complete the CLAT 2025 application form by following each step. A few days after the application window is closed, NLU releases the correction window for students to rectify errors in their applications.
Steps to fill the CLAT 2025 Application Form
Applicants can fill out the CLAT 2025 application form without making any mistakes by following these steps:
Step 1: CLAT Registration
A notice will show up on the homepage when you visit the CLAT Consortium's official website, https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/ (see in the image below). and applicants have to click "CLICK HERE" to access the application window.
The first-time applicants must create an account by clicking on the "Don't have an account? " tab and following the guidelines. The tab is positioned on the left side of the application window.
After the account is created, just press the "Register" button.
The online CLAT 2025 application form appearing on the screen will require the following information from candidates to register:
• Name: As stated on academic records (such as a certificate of completion for class 10 or a certificate of name change, if applicable).
• Cell phone Number: Applicants have to provide a working cell phone number, either their own or that of their parents or legal guardians.
• Password: Candidates are required to come up with a strong and safe password that has at least eight characters and contains both capital and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
Students will receive a 4-digit OTP code on their registration contact number after they click on the "Register" tab. Applicants must enter this code in the given tab to activate their CLAT login account:
Step 2: Activation of the Account
Soon after the OTP code is entered, candidates will be able to fill out the CLAT 2025 application form.
The account activation box will show the message “Account Activated”.
Next, the login page will appear, which students can use to access their account and start filling out the form.
Step 3: Completing the application
After that, candidates can complete the CLAT 2025 application form as follows using their CLAT login:
Upload photo and signature: After registering for CLAT 2025, candidates are required to upload their photo and signature. The image has to be clear and facing the front. The file format has to be jpg/jpeg only, and the signature has to be a scanned copy.
Complete the form: Applicants need to provide the following information on the application form:
Enter the name of the applicant as it appears on the class 10+2 certificate.
• Choose a gender.
• Choose your birthdate in the format MM/DD/YY.
• Put the father's name here.
• Put the mother's name here.
• Choose a nationality.
• Choose from the General, OBC, SC, and ST categories for all of India. A new field for uploading a supporting document issued by the appropriate authorities will appear if you choose a category other than general. The document must be less than 1.5 MB in size and PDF format.
• Choose whether you fall under the PWD or BPL (Below Poverty Line) categories. If so, you must upload the relevant documents in PDF format with a maximum size of 1.5 MB.
Candidates then have to move on to the following step:
Candidates are required to supply the following communication address-related information:
• The current residential address is the correspondence address.
• Choose the state, UT, and district.
• Enter the correct address's PIN.
• Enter your permanent address; if it is the same as the correspondence, enter the same information.
• Enter your email address and mobile number.
Details of the qualifying exam: On the CLAT 2025 application form, candidates are required to submit the following academic information:
• Qualification test Board/University
• Status of the qualifying exam: passed, appeared, or already appeared
• Choose the month in which you passed the test.
• Choose the year of death.
• Enter the percentage of qualifying marks.
Test Centre Preference: Applicants were required to rank at least three cities on the CLAT 2025 test centre list.
College Preferences: Candidates were required to rank the National Law Universities (NLUs) at this step out of 24 NLUs.
Reservation: In this phase, candidates could choose from the available reservation quota at each NLU. If you want to be admitted under the reserved category, please fill out the necessary information.
Step 4: Payment of the fee
Candidates are required to pay the CLAT 2025 application fees as follows after completing the CLAT 2025 application form:
