About M.Tech

Eligibility of MTech College

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in the stream in which they wish to pursue an M.Tech. at KCC. Candidates must have passed B.E/B.Tech in their respective disciplines with a minimum of 60% in aggregate. SC/ST/PwD candidates.

Can apply with a minimum of 54% marks. Non GATE candidates are granted admission to M.Tech. degrees on the basis of their Qualifying Exam Marks for the vacant seats left after GATE candidates are allotted seats.

M.Tech Admission Procedure

Admission is granted through competitive performance in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). Reservation in admission to the M.Tech. degrees are governed by AICTE/State Government/ Central Government rules.

Management seats are filled directly by the institute by conducting institute level counseling based on the merit of SEE- UPTU : 2017 / AIEEE rank & merit in qualifying examination.

NRI Seats

5% of the management seats would be available for NRI candidates. NRI seats would be filled up as per AICTE and University norms i.e. by NRIs who have passed the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from an institute situated outside India provided such qualification is considered equivalent to 10+2 Examination by the Association of Indian Universities.
