Overview
The Xavier Aptitude Test, also known as XAT, is a national-level management entrance exam for admission to MBA/PGDM programs that is administered by XLRI, Jamshedpur. In addition to XLRI and 10 other XAMI member institutes, over 1,000 B-schools accept XAT scores for admission to their post-graduate management programs. 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and 1 essay covering Decision-making, Verbal and Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge, make up the XAT question paper. The typical XAT cut-offs for male candidates for the XLRI PGDM-MBA program are 95 percentile and 92 percentile, respectively.
The XLRI XAT 2024 registration period is currently open. On Sunday, January 7, 2024, XLRI Jamshedpur will conduct a single session of the computer-based Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2024, which will run three hours and ten minutes.
Highlights and Exam Features for XAT 2024

The online version of the XAT 2024 is anticipated to take place during the first week of January 2024.

Is the XAT exam 2024 changing at all?
There have been no XAT exam changes announced. Just as yesterday, the test will be given. The exam will last 210 minutes, and there will be MCQ-style questions on it. A total of 100 questions will be asked from the decision-making, verbal ability, logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude, and data interpretation sections as well as general knowledge. Additionally, there will be one essay-based question. Candidates will need to finish each component of the XAT 2024 test within the allotted time limit because the test will have sectional time limits.
The marking system is the same as last year's. Candidates will receive 1 point for each correct response, and 0.25 points will be subtracted for each erroneous response. The number of correct and incorrect entries will be used to determine the XAT result. The essay will only be considered during the PI selection process.

XAT Minimum Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold a three-year bachelor's degree in any discipline from an accredited university in order to apply for the XAT in 2024. Moreover, there is no limitation on the number of attempts. Based on their GMAT results, foreign applicants are also qualified to apply for admission to XLRI.
