How Can I View the Counselling and Seat Allocation Results for CLAT 2025?

Once the CLAT 2025 counselling is completed in 2026 and seats are allocated, students can use the steps to check their admission status and view their results:

Step 1: Go to https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in, CLAT's official website.
Step 2: Type in your password and mobile number.
Step 3: Press the Login button.
Step 4: Verify the result of the seat allocation.

Note: 1,217 seats are available for PG courses, while 3,213 seats are available for UG courses. After completing counseling registration and eligibility-related documents, the candidates will be listed on a shortlist for admission rounds.

How Can I Sign Up for CLAT 2025 Counselling?

Those who will be invited to participate in the counseling and seat-allocation procedure must register online by doing the following:

Step 1: Access the registered accounts by logging in.

Candidates must first log in to their registered accounts by doing the following:

Check out CLAT 2025's official webpage at https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/.
Enter your password and mobile number in the designated field on the homepage.
Click Login
Click the link to register for counseling.

Step 2: Modify your NLU settings

After that, applicants must revise their selections for a minimum of five National Law Universities (NLUs). Based on their CLAT scores, students can enroll in five-year integrated LLB programs at 24 NLUs in India. However, 20 NLUs in India provide LLM programs to students based on their CLAT results.

Only after they have learned enough about the NLUs, their courses, costs, seats, and other details will candidates be prompted to revise their preferences. It should be mentioned that candidates will only be considered for admission to the NLUs they have chosen when the CLAT 2025 counselling registration process is complete. No other NLU will take them into consideration for admission.

Step 3: Submit the CLAT 2025 Counselling fee.

At this stage, candidates must pay the CLAT counselling fee of INR 20,000 online to secure a seat using a credit/debit card, UPI, or net banking. After the fee has been properly paid, a confirmation email will be issued to the candidates' registered phone number and email address.

It should be mentioned that candidates are required to pay the counseling cost at this point. Candidates will not be considered for admission if they do not pay the counseling cost. After a candidate is given a seat, the CLAT 2025 counselling charge will be adjusted to reflect the course fee. It should be noted that admission is not guaranteed by simply signing up for therapy. Following the registration procedure, candidates are given seats through the CLAT seat allocation method, which is determined by their merit and NLU preferences.

CLAT 2025 Invitation List

In the invite list, the Consortium provides the admission card numbers of all the candidates who have been selected for the counseling process. Additionally, each shortlisted applicant will receive an email or SMS inviting them to a counseling session. To confirm the counseling invitation, it is recommended that all candidates register for their accounts.

Complete Refund: An applicant will receive a complete refund of INR 50,000 if they are not selected for a seat in any of the CLAT 2025 counselling rounds or if they withdraw their seat before the deadline.

Partial Refund: A partial refund is subject to the two requirements listed below:

Condition 1: Only INR 40,000 will be reimbursed if the candidate receives a seat in any of the three allotment rounds but decides to renounce the seat and withdraw from the CLAT admissions process.
Condition 2: INR 40,000 will be reimbursed if a candidate is determined to be ineligible based on the information or documents they submitted.

CLAT 2025 Counselling: The Process of Seat Allocation

Overview

Seat Allotment

According to the candidate's rank and the number of seats available at the preferred NLUs, the seat allocation process is conducted.

Acceptance of Seat

After seats are assigned, candidates must complete the admissions process and pay the necessary costs to accept their seats.

Upgrade or Exit Option

Applicants may request an upgrade in subsequent seat allocation rounds or withdraw from consideration for admission if they are unhappy with their assigned seats.

What are the options for Freeze, Float, and Exit in CLAT 2025 Counselling?

During CLAT counseling, candidates can choose between three options: exit, float, and freeze.

Freeze: If a candidate is satisfied with their seat assignment and would prefer not to participate in any additional counseling sessions, they may choose the "freeze" option.

Float Option: If a candidate is unhappy with their assigned seat and would like to participate in additional rounds of counseling, they can choose the float option.

Exit Option: If a candidate decides at any point during the process that they do not want to continue with counseling, they can choose to do so.

Fee Confirmation: Candidates must pay the confirmation fee after seats are assigned. There is a 20,000 INR non-refundable confirmation fee. Payment for the confirmation charge is required before selecting the Freeze or Float option. Throughout the counselling process, there is only one confirmation fee to pay.
