The CLAT 2026 results for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs have been released by the Consortium of National Law Universities on December 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Candidates can use the designated mirror link or log into the CLAT 2026 portal via the Consortium's website https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/clat-2026/ to download their official scorecards.
The Consortium has launched a mirror website for CLAT 2026 result access in addition to the primary portal. To avoid heavy traffic on the main platform, candidates can download their official scorecards from the mirror site.
The CLAT Counseling Registration 2026 has been launched by the Consortium of NLUs on December 17, 2025, at 6:00 PM. Candidates have until December 27, 2025, (10:00 PM) to register for the CLAT 2026 Counseling Process.
Starting at 5:00 PM on December 17, 2025, the grievance online portal will remain operational until 5:00 PM on December 24, 2025. Grievances submitted after the previously indicated deadline will never be considered. There will be no complaints about changes made to the final answer key.
Students can file their grievances regarding totalling and computation of scores, issues arising during the counselling registration process, and other issues related to the conduct of the CLAT 2026.

On the other hand, the tentative CLAT UG answer key published on December 10, 2025, will be regarded as the final answer key for CLAT UG 2026, according to confirmation from the Consortium of National Law Universities, since no significant error or valid objection was found during the review for UG. According to the official announcement, a total of 119 marks would be used to evaluate CLAT 2026 UG candidates instead of the standard 120 marks.

The CLAT 2025 registration last date was November 7, 2025, which was extended for a week from its initial closing date of October 31, 2025. The correction window for the same remained open from November 5-9, 2025, till 11:59 PM, to pay the application fee. The exam conducted on December 7, 2025, saw the participation of 96.83% of UG applicants and 92.45% of PG applicants.
CLAT 2026 Result Date
The CLAT 2026 result has been announced on December 17, 2025, before 10:00 AM, as per the notification made yesterday. The final answer key for both UG and PG was released on December 16, 2025, at 5:00 PM, after which the re-evaluation period was over. The provisional answer key for UG will be treated as the final answer key, since no significant error or objection was found after the review, and so, candidates were evaluated out of 119 marks instead of 120.
The results are made available for download on the official website of the consortium, as well as on a separate mirror website due to increased traffic. The Common Law Admission Test took place on December 7, 2025. The preliminary CLAT 2026 answer key was made available on December 10, 2025, at 5:00 PM, and the objection window was closed on December 12, 2025, at 5:00 PM. The grievance period was concluded on December 12, 2025, at 5:00 PM. This year, the Consortium didn’t find any significant errors or valid objections after the review was concluded for CLAT UG courses. On the other hand, the Consortium has approved modifications to answers for three questions across different paper sets for CLAT PG.

How many applicants are invited to the CLAT counselling 2026?
The consortium will offer CLAT counselling in 2026, soon after the results are announced. It compiles a list of shortlisted candidates for the invitation. Applicants are invited to counselling as many times as there are seats available in each category. This indicates that about 15,500 applicants will receive invitations to apply for 3100 spots in five-year integrated BBA LLB programs. In contrast, about 3,300 applicants will receive invitations to the LLM program. Applicants will be invited based on their combined merit and preferences.

The consortium released the CLAT counselling 2026 dates on December 17, 2025 alongside the release of the result. However, the consortium remove it immediately, The new dates will be released soon.
It compiles a list of shortlisted candidates for the invitation. Applicants will be invited to counselling as many times as there are seats available in each category. Applicants will be invited based on their combined merit and preferences.
The CLAT counselling will be done online by the consortium. Updates via email and SMS regarding their selection for the counselling will be sent to qualified candidates. They must pay the registration fee and register for counselling via the CLAT login page. The CLAT Counselling fee for the general category will be Rs. 30,000, and for candidates in the SC and ST categories, it is Rs. 20,000.
Participants in CLAT counselling 2026 will have their seat requests at national law universities taken into consideration. Seat distribution will be determined by merit plus preference. Candidates will have the choice to accept their assigned seat, request an upgrade, or withdraw from consideration for admission after it has been assigned. The designated institution will receive the NLU course fees from those who accept the admission offer.

Analysis of CLAT Results 2026
Last year, the CLAT results were initially released on December 7, 2024, at approximately 11:00 am, but were later revised after the court order on May 17, 2025. The CLAT results and scorecards were made available online. Of the 100 highest-ranked candidates, 86 were subsequently admitted to NLSIU Bengaluru. It should be mentioned that the CLAT 2026 will consist of 120 marks, as opposed to the 150 marks awarded in the previous CLAT.
