The Consortium of National Law Universities' official website released the CLAT 2025 result date and time on its official website . The CLAT 2026 results for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs were released by the Consortium of National Law Universities on December 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Candidates can use the designated mirror link or log into the CLAT 2026 portal via the Consortium's website https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/clat-2026/ to download their official scorecards.
The Consortium launched a mirror website for CLAT 2026 result access in addition to the primary portal. To avoid heavy traffic on the main platform, candidates can download their official scorecards from the mirror site.
The CLAT Counseling Registration 2026 was launched by the Consortium of NLUs on December 17, 2025, at 6:00 PM. Candidates had until December 27, 2025, (10:00 PM) to register for the CLAT 2026 Counseling Process.
Starting at 5:00 PM on December 17, 2025, the grievance online portal remained operational until 5:00 PM on December 24, 2025. Grievances submitted after the previously indicated deadline will never be considered. There will be no complaints about changes made to the final answer key.
Students can file their grievances regarding totalling and computation of scores, issues arising during the counselling registration process, and other issues related to the conduct of the CLAT 2026.
The CLAT Counseling Registration 2026 was launched by the Consortium of NLUs today. Candidates haduntil December 27, 2025, to register for the CLAT 2026 Counseling Process. However, the dates were removed immediately after it was released. The new dates for CLAT Counseling 2026 registration were released the very next day.
A notification of revision for the CLAT 2026 Postgraduate tentative answer key was been released by the Consortium. Three sets of questions (A, B, C, and D) have had their answers updated. The final assessment of the CLAT PG 2026 results will make use of the revised answers.
On the other hand, the tentative CLAT UG answer key published on December 10, 2025, was regarded as the final answer key for CLAT UG 2026, according to confirmation from the Consortium of National Law Universities, since no significant error or valid objection was found during the review for UG. The CLAT 2025 registration last date was November 7, 2025, which was extended for a week from its initial closing date of October 31, 2025. The correction window for the same remained open from November 5-9, 2025, till 11:59 PM, to pay the application fee. The exam conducted on December 7, 2025, saw the participation of 96.83% of UG applicants and 92.45% of PG applicants.
CLAT 2026 Result Date
The CLAT 2026 result was announced on December 17, 2025, before 10:00 AM, as per the notification made yesterday. The final answer key for both UG and PG was released on December 16, 2025, at 5:00 PM, after which the re-evaluation period was over. The provisional answer key for UG was treated as the final answer key, since no significant error or objection was found after the review, and so, candidates were evaluated out of 119 marks instead of 120.
The results are made available for download on the official website of the consortium, as well as on a separate mirror website due to increased traffic. The Common Law Admission Test took place on December 7, 2025. The preliminary CLAT 2026 answer key was made available on December 10, 2025, at 5:00 PM, and the objection window was closed on December 12, 2025, at 5:00 PM. CLAT Result 2026: Grievances Redress
The grievance period was concluded on December 12, 2025, at 5:00 PM. This year, the Consortium didn’t find any significant errors or valid objections after the review was concluded for CLAT UG courses. On the other hand, the Consortium has approved modifications to answers for three questions across different paper sets for CLAT PG.

How many people are invited to the CLAT counselling 2026?
In 2026, shortly after the findings are revealed, the consortium will provide CLAT counseling. It creates a list of applicants who have been shortlisted for the invitation. As many times as there are seats available in each category, applicants are invited to counseling. This means that invitations to apply for 3100 slots in five-year integrated BBA LLB programs will be sent to roughly 15,500 applicants. On the other hand, invitations to the LLM program will be sent to roughly 3,300 applicants. Based on their overall merit and preferences, applicants will be invited.
CLAT Counselling 2026
On December 17, the consortium announced the dates for CLAT counselling in addition to the results. However, the consortium removed it immediately. The new dates will be released soon.
It compiles a list of shortlisted candidates for the invitation. Applicants will be invited to counselling as many times as there are seats available in each category. Based on their overall merit and preferences, applicants will be invited.
The consortium will conduct the CLAT counseling online. Qualified candidates will receive updates via email and SMS regarding their selection for counseling. They must pay the registration fee and register for counselling via the CLAT login page. The general category's CLAT counseling fee is Rs. 30,000, and for candidates in the SC and ST categories, it is Rs. 20,000.
Participants in CLAT counselling 2026 will have their seat requests at national law universities taken into consideration. The distribution of seats will be based on both preference and merit. After a seat is assigned, candidates can choose to accept it, ask for an upgrade, or stop being considered for admission. Those who accept the admission offer will pay the NLU course fees to the specified university.

Last year, the CLAT results were initially released on December 7, 2024, at approximately 11:00 am, but were later revised after the court order on May 17, 2025. The scorecards and CLAT 2026 results were posted online. Of the 100 highest-ranked candidates, 86 were subsequently admitted to NLSIU Bengaluru. It should be mentioned that the CLAT 2026 will consist of 120 marks, as opposed to the 150 marks awarded in the previous CLAT.
