FAQs for CLAT 2027 Exam

Q1. How should I begin studying for the CLAT exam because I am a novice?
The first step is to improve your reading habits, such as reading editorials from publications like The Hindu and Indian Express for one to two hours every day. Learn the fundamentals of the test using standard books and PYQs (prior year questions). Start trying mocks early and do a thorough analysis.

Q2. In CLAT 2026, I did not receive a high enough score. For 2027, should I take a drop year?
It is extremely typical to take a drop year for these kinds of admission tests. Go for it if you're motivated. If you don't want to waste your best years, private schools are also an excellent choice.

Q3. Is the CLAT exam administered online or offline?
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), a nationwide admission exam for undergraduate and graduate law programs, is administered by the Consortium of NLUs. Every year, the CLAT exam is administered offline using pen and paper.

Q4. What is the purpose of the CLAT exam?
CLAT stands for "Common Law Admission Test". Candidates must pass the CLAT, a centralized national entrance test, to be admitted to any of India's 26 national law universities.

Start with the area that seems simpler to you, such as General Knowledge. Start with quant if you are proficient in it. Easier sections should be completed quickly to provide a buffer for longer paragraphs that require more effort and careful reading.

Q6. When is the CLAT 2027 exam scheduled to take place?
There is currently no formal announcement about CLAT 2027. But according to past years, the exam is scheduled to take place on December 6, 2026. Once the announcement is made public, please visit the official CLAT website to confirm the precise dates.

Q8. What is the format of the CLAT 2027 exam?
Multiple-choice questions spanning English, Current Affairs, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques make up the CLAT 2027 UG exam pattern.

Q9. What are the requirements to be eligible for CLAT 2027?
Candidates must have earned at least 45% (or 40% for SC/ST) in their Class 12 or equivalent to be eligible for UG.
