Delhi Quota: Candidates from the Delhi Region are entitled to 85% of all approved seats. This category includes candidates who have completed class 12 at any Delhi-based school or institution, as well as any college or institution connected to the GSSIPU University.
A candidate's IPU CET 2026 score will determine how many seats they are given. These seats fall under the following groups.
Reserved Quota for Non-Delhi Residents: 15% of all seats are set aside for candidates from outside Delhi. This group includes candidates who completed their 12th-grade education at an institution or school outside of Delhi. These 15% of seats are further divided into the following groups:

The institution will make the IPU CET 2026 admit card available for download to registered candidates after the registration is over. A few days before the exam day, which is most likely in April or May of 2026, students can begin downloading their IPU CET 2026 admit card.
The IPU CET 2026 admit card is a required document that candidates must bring into the exam room. Without the IPU CET admit card 2026, no student will be permitted to take the test.
Candidates are required to bring two printouts of their hall passes, each with a passport-sized photo attached.
The IPU CET 2026 Result will be made public in the month that follows the test. The tentative release date is June 2026.
The university will provide the IPU CET 2026 results as a rank list that includes the rank, name, and other information. The IPU CET 2026 results are available for candidates to download and print out for later use. Candidates will be contacted for counseling in accordance with the 2026 IPU CET results.

Crucial Guidelines for the Exam Centre:
• Following the start of IPU CET 2026, candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.
• Before the CET exam's scheduled time, no applicant will be permitted to leave the exam room.
• Only after giving the invigilator the OMR answer sheet and exam booklet shall candidates depart the IPU CET Exam Centre.
• The University will take appropriate disciplinary measures against candidates who are caught cheating, employing unethical methods, or failing to maintain discipline throughout the Common Entrance Test.
• Except for the IPU CET Admit Card, no candidate may bring any written or printed text, pieces of paper, or other materials inside the testing room.
IPU CET 2026 Counselling Fee Structure and Admission Process:
SUBMISSION OF COUNSELLING PARTICIPATION FEE:
Step 1: Previously, candidates had to deposit a one-time (non-refundable) Counselling Participation Fee of Rs. 1000/-plus charges as applicable, apart from INR 1500 CET application fee, as per the schedule for every CET Code. The taxes and charges applicable have to be paid by the candidate and are non-refundable.
However, candidates were required to pay a combined fee of Rs. 2500 at the time of application, starting from 2025. They will be excluded from paying a separate counselling fee for participation. They can directly approach the online/offline counselling if they meet the cut-off marks.
The counselling registration fee is only applicable to candidates seeking admission to B.Tech courses. For all other UG courses, the counselling fee is charged along with the exam fee.
Step 2: Candidates who have paid Rs 2500 application fee can visit the GGSIPU University admission office directly for the counselling rounds without paying a separate Counselling Participation Fee.
Step 3: Candidates will get two options for payment after submitting the details:
• Cash payment (challan will be generated and fees may be deposited through cash in any branch of Indian Bank)
• Net Banking /Credit Card and Debit Card.
Step 4: The candidates are required to check the status of fee payment on the website (http://www.ipuadmissions.nic.in) and must take the printout of the online fee confirmation receipt with the transaction details for any future reference. In case of payment of the fee through a Challan, the applicant must retain a copy of the Challan after depositing the fees.
REGISTRATION FOR COUNSELLING
Step 1: While filling out the application form, candidates will be required to pay a total of Rs 2500 for pre-registration for counselling rounds. Candidates who qualify the exam can directly approach the University to participate in counselling.
Step 2: In case of Payment of Fee through a Challan, the candidate can register only after two working days of cash deposited in any branch of Indian Bank.
Step 3: The candidates have to enter CET details on the admission website (http://www.ipuadmissions.nic.in). After the verification, they must enter his/her personal /academic /contact details (with address, mobile no. & email ID) for registration.
Step 4: The candidates will be assigned a login ID and password during the Registration procedure.
CHOICE FILLING
Step 1: Choice filling is compulsory for the allotment of seats. The candidate won’t be considered for online allotment of the seat without the filled-in choices/preferences.
Step 2: The candidates have to fill in choices for allotment after registration from the list of all possible combinations of all institutes and courses available, in the order of his/her preference.
Step 3: Once the period for filling out choices/preferences is over, the choices/preferences filled by the candidate will be used for the allotment of seats.
RESULT/ALLOCATION OF SEATS IN EVERY ROUND
Step 1: After the choice-filling period is over, all the choices/preferences filled by the candidate will be considered for online allotment of seats as per merit and respective category, and region.
Step 2: The following candidates will not be considered for allotment of seats as listed below:
• Candidates who haven’t paid the counselling participation fee, either separately or at the time of application,
• Paid the counselling participation fee but did not register.
• Paid the counselling participation fee and registered, but did not fill in choices/preferences.
• Candidates who were assigned a seat in any round but didn’t pay the part academic fees of INR 40000/= shall not be considered in a subsequent round of counselling.
• Candidates who are allocated a seat in any round and paid the part academic fee of INR 40000/= and then withdraw the admission following the due procedure of the University.
Note: Such candidates, however, shall be eligible for the “Spot Counselling” round.
FREEZING OF ALLOTTED SEATS AFTER EVERY ROUND
Step 1: If the candidate is satisfied with the seat allotted to him and does not want to participate in subsequent rounds of counselling for up-gradation, he/she can freeze his/her allotted seat by clicking the freeze option available in his/her account in the counselling website within the specified period.
Step 2: If the candidate doesn’t freeze the allotted seat, the next higher preference may be allotted to him/her automatically in the next round, subject to availability of seats, and the candidate will not be allowed to retain the earlier allotment under any circumstances.
REPORTING OF CANDIDATES TO THE ALLOTTED INSTITUTE/COLLEGE:
Step 1: If candidates are allotted a seat/retained the seat from earlier allotment/upgraded to higher choices/preferences after the sliding round of online seat allotment, and if he/she has made the payment of part Academic Fee of Rs 40,000/-, they can generate a Provisional Admission Slip along with the Enrolment number.
Step 2: The Candidate is required to report and join the respective School/college with the Admission Slip, the Provisional Allotment Letter, the Academic Fee Receipt, and the necessary record for verification of documents at the School/institution/college and pay the balance amount of fees (if any), as per the schedule notified on the website, failing which the admission shall be automatically cancelled.
Step 3: The institutions / University Schools of Studies shall report the status of reported and non-reported candidates to the University. The vacant seats after the sliding round of online counselling and seats vacant due to non-reporting of candidates only shall be considered for spot counselling.
SPOT ROUND COUNSELLING
Step 1: The spot counselling shall be conducted offline, at designated centres by the University.
Step 2: This round shall be held after the completion of the admission process, only to fill up vacancies, if any.
Step 3: After completion of all rounds of online counselling, Spot Counselling shall be done offline. All eligible applicants desirous of participating in the “Spot Counselling” shall have to pay a separate spot counselling participation fee. The participation fees in the “Spot Counselling” shall be INR 2000/= (non-refundable / transferable).
Step 4: Spot Counselling shall be done for vacancies remaining after reporting of allocated candidates to Schools of Studies / Colleges/institutions allotted (see Section 10) and arising during the process of “Spot Counselling” as enumerated below.
Since all conversions of categories / region-wise divisions are completed in the last round of online counselling (Section 11.8), the spot counselling shall consider all seats to be filled as unreserved.
Step 5: The vacant seats left after reporting /admission of candidates to institutions only shall be considered for filling in-the-spot counselling.
Step 6: Any CET-qualified candidates who have not been admitted in the rounds of online counselling will be eligible to participate in the spot counselling, against the available vacant seat (if any).
Step 7: The candidates who are allotted seats in rounds of online counselling and have paid the part Academic Fee of Rs 40,000/-to confirm admission in any institute/ college and have also reported to the concerned University School of Study/college/institutions will be treated as “admitted” at the time of Spot Counselling.
Such candidates, if they desire to participate in the “Spot Counselling”, shall be required to pay a transfer fee of INR 5000. These candidates shall be considered as per their rank only, if they do not appear at the time of counselling for their rank, they shall not be allowed to participate.
FILLING OF SEATS (IF ANY) AFTER SPOT COUNSELLING
Step 1: If any seats are left vacant (out of the seats reported as vacant, after the reporting of “admitted/allocated” candidates to the concerned University School of Study / College / Institution and taken to the spot counselling phase for filling up) out of the seats considered in the spot counselling, the procedure for filling up these seats shall be notified by 4thof August, of the admission year by the University.
• If a seat has been allotted to the candidate, then they have to pay Rs. 40, 000/- to confirm their seats as a part of the academic fee.
• Candidates who wish to participate in the spot round of counselling have to pay the counselling fee of Rs. 2000/-.
• A candidate who wishes to change their college after getting a college in the slide round has to pay a fee of Rs. 5000/.
• An academic fee of Rs/ 40000 will be adjustable in their first-year college fee.
IPU CET SEAT ALLOCATION
Candidates who have cleared the exam will have their seats assigned for admission. To participate in the seat allocation procedure, candidates must register for IPU CET Counselling. For some programs, including B. Tech, medicine, and law, IPU CET 2026 counselling will be conducted online. While "Spot Allotment" will only be conducted in offline mode for all courses, offline counselling will be held for courses like BBA, BA, and B.Ed.
The results of the sliding and spot counselling rounds will be announced by GGSIPU University following the three rounds of IPU CET Seat Allotment 2026.
IPU CET 2026 Seat Allotment is likely to be done based on the ranks given in the merit list, but if a candidate does not register, fill out the options, or pay the seat allotment fee, then those applicants will not be allotted seats in any program.
Rank-ordered merit lists are created by the institution based on how well students performed on the IPU CET exam.
Candidates who meet the requirements must pay the cost and freeze their seats within the allotted period to claim them.
