The department of Civil engineering was established in 2009.Civil engineering is a broad field of engineering that deals with planning, design, construction and maintenance of structures, bridges and public works, transportation systems, water resources and supply with particular attention to the protection of the environment.
The curriculum produces high quality engineers known for productivity, professionalism and competence in the workplace. Over the years, the department has nurtured young minds to produce bright and innovative civil engineers that have contributed to the development of our country. The department has expertise in almost entire spectrum of civil engineering.
The program instills leadership qualities based on moral and ethical principles coupled with sound and rational judgment. The program stresses on the effective use of technology for resources and engineering tools.
Students will graduate with a degree in civil engineering upon successful completion of the 4 years (8 semesters) B.Tech programme.
