  • JEE Main results and Final Answer Key Dates for Session 2: The results for both Paper 1 (BE/B.Tech) were released on April 20, along with their final answer key, while the results for Papers 2A and 2B (B.Arch/B.Plan) were released on May 5, 2026, but the final answer key was released a day before, on May 4, 2026.
  • JEE Main Provisional Answer Key Dates for Session 2: The provisional answer keys for the session 2 exams were released from April 11 to 13, 2026, for Paper 1, and from April 25 to 27, 2026, for Paper 2A and 2B exams.
  • JEE Main 2026 Exam Dates for Session 2: The exams for Paper 1 were held on April 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8, and for Paper 2 on April 7. NTA didn’t hold any exams on April 9 due to elections in the states of Kerala, Assam, and Puducherry. Additionally, NTA often doesn't administer exams on Sundays.

Originally, the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE-Main) Session 2 registration procedure started by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on February 1 and concluded on February 25, 2026.
 
However, NTA reopened the registration window from March 12 to 13, 2026, for those who missed the original window to fill out their application form and pay their fee.
 
The exam dates for the JEE Main Session 2 Paper 1 are April 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8, and for Paper 2 on April 7, 2026. The final results for session 2 were on April 20, for Paper 1, and on May 5, for Paper 2.

The Exact Dates for the JEE Mains 2026 Exams for Both Sessions: The JEE Mains 2026 exam was administered by NTA in two sessions. JEE Mains 2026 Exam Date January session took place on January 21, 22, 23, 24, and 28, for Paper 1, and 29 for Paper 2, while Session 2 took place on April 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8 for Paper 1, and April 7 for Paper 2
 
Depending on their preferences, candidates can attend one or both sessions. The candidates' All India rank are determined by taking into account their best score from the two sessions.
 

JEE Mains 2026 Registration Date

The JEE Mains 2026 registration form was launched by NTA on October 31, 2025, for session 1. JEE Main 2026 registration date for session 1 completed on November 27, 2025, up to 11:50 PM.
 
JEE Mains 2026 Registration for the second session commenced on February 1, 2026, and ran through February 25, 2026, up to 9:00 PM. However, due to constant requests for many applicants who missed the original deadline, NTA reopened the registration window from March 12 to 13, to allow students to fill out their forms and pay their fee.
 
Newly enrolled candidates were unable to check or amend their applications because NTA did not offer a rectification tool during this special registration window.
 
Separate application forms were made available for each of the two sessions for the JEE Main 2026 exam. The official website for the JEE Main application form is jeemain.nta.nic.in 2026. Candidates should be aware that only online applications are accepted.
 

JEE Mains 2026 Registration Form Correction Window 

The JEE Mains 2026 registration form corrections window for Session 1 was opened by NTA on December 1, 2025, and ran for one day before closing at 11:50 PM on December 2, 2025. The registration period was over on November 27, 2025, allowing users to change any inaccurate information in their completed application forms. For a predetermined amount of time, candidates were permitted to make changes.
 
On the other hand, the correction window for Session 2 ran from February 27 to 28, 2026, after the original registration window was closed on February 25. NTA reopened the registration window from March 12 to 13, 2026, for which NTA did not provided a correction facility.
 
Students were allowed to make changes to their academic details, signature, and more. The JEE Main form correction window was made available to those who have successfully registered for the exam and paid their exam fee. There was no correction fee.
 
However, an extra fee was charged for making changes in the category and for adding extra papers/cities.
 

JEE Mains 2026 City Intimation Slip

NTA released the city slip for session 2 exams on March 21, 2026, along with the exam schedule, while the session 1 city slip was released on January 8, 2026.
 
Aspirants pursuing B. Arch, B. Plan, and B. Tech programs can download the JEE Main Exam city slips separately.
 
Applicants should be aware that the exam city slip and the admission card are not the same. NTA separately distributed the JEE Mains 2026 admit card for both sessions, a few days before the exam.
 

JEE Mains 2026 Admit Card Date

About three to four days before the test, NTA will make the JEE Main 2026 admit card available. NTA made the JEE Main 2026 admit card available for Session 2 on March 29 and April 1, 2026. The admit cards were released separately for both Paper 1 and Paper 2.
 
The admit cards for session 1 were released on January 17 and 24, 2026, for Paper 1 and Paper 2, respectively.
 
Only those applicants who successfully finish the registration process, fill out the application form, and pay their application fee before the deadline can receive their admit cards. Applicants must obtain their admit card from the official JEE Main website, jeemain.nta.ac.in 2026.
 
The exams for Paper 1 were held on April 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8, and for Paper 2 on April 7, for Session 2, while Session 1 was conducted on January 21, 22, 23, 24, and 28, for Paper 1, and on January 29, for Paper 2.
