The JEE Main 2026 exam pattern has been made available on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in by the NTA. No changes were announced for the JEE Main 2026 Exam Pattern by the NTA. The pattern of the last year will remain the same for this year.
 
The five questions in part B are now mandatory, as the optional questions in part B have been eliminated from both Papers 1 and 2, per the updated announcement. The JEE Main 2026 exam pattern contains information about the question types, exam length, method, and marking scheme. 
 
Additionally, the authority assigned both papers' Section B a negative marking of -1. JEE Main has a total score of 300. In January and April of 2026, there will be two sessions for the JEE Main test. The first session of the JEE Main 2026 exam will be administered by the authority from January 21 to January 30, 2026. NTA JEE Mains Exam Pattern 2026 (Papers 1 and 2)
