If students meet the following requirements, they will be deemed to have passed the CBSE board exams:
 
Must receive a grade greater than a "E," or at least 33%, in each of the five external exam subjects in the main (or compartmental) exams.
Candidates should receive 33% in theory and 33% in practical for subjects relating to practical work. In addition, candidates should have received a minimum of 33% overall.
 
Unless they are excluded, pupils who receive a grade above a "E" in any internal assessment topic will receive a pass certificate from the Board.

Students can request a mark/answer sheet verification if they are unhappy with their scores from the CBSE 12th exam in 2025. Students must complete the application on the official website for their grades to be verified online.
