CUET B.Tech 2025: Syllabus, Eligibility, Result, Exam Dates
CUET is the most popular national-level entrance exam conducted by NTA, alongside JEE Mains, for admission to B.Tech courses at 250+ universities and colleges in India. JEE Main is conducted twice a year, while CUET is administered once a year by NTA. Keeping up with previous years’ trends, the exam will be based on the Class 12 syllabus and will take place from May 8 to June 1, 2025.
Over 25 top Central and State universities, including Delhi University (DU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Central University of Karnataka, and numerous other private engineering colleges like KCC Institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida, accept CUET scores for admission to B.Tech programs.
CUET will be administered online using Multiple-choice questions. Students can choose the subjects they wish to take in the CUET based on their preferred courses and the institution's qualifying requirements.

The Benefits of CUET B. Tech over the JEE Mains Exam
Compared to JEE Main, CUET offers two key advantages.
-
CUET scores are used to admit students in engineering courses as well as many other UG programs, while JEE Mains is designed only to assess the technical knowledge of students for B.Tech and BE admissions.
-
Students from the science stream can also apply for admission to BSc, BCA, BSc IT, and B.Com programs at several Central and State Universities if they choose Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as their domain subjects in the CUET.
-
Only class 12 topics are covered in the CUET syllabus, although class 11 and 12 topics are covered in the JEE Main syllabus. Compared to CUET, JEE Main requires students to study more topics.
Candidates should be aware that not all universities accept CUET scores to admit them to B.Tech programs. Joint Entrance Examination (Main), or JEE Main, is the main exam and entry point for B.Tech admission to prestigious engineering colleges like IITs, NITs, and IIITs.
