IPU CET 2024 Eligibility Criteria: Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University is a state level university conferring quality education to the students for many years now. IPU considers it as a privilege that numerous students are getting immeasurable moments to substantiate themselves to surpass their corresponding expectations. Students have made thriving careers after studying at IPU.
The reason behind this notable achievement is that students are not distinguished based on their Marks. They are attentively approved on the ground of their flair and expertise gained throughout their school life.
All this is made possible when Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi, conducts an all India University Level Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission into its various undergraduate, postgraduate and Diploma Programs.. The application form for IPU CET 2024 will be released in an online mode on the official website of GGSIPU. Students must fill this form within the designated time given by the University. The official notification of the form will be released in the month of February 2022.
IPU CET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
However not all students get lucky with this. There are numerous benchmarks for the students which they must fulfill in order to just apply for this CET, leave alone the marks that they must fetch. It’s a tough nut to crack.
The eligibility criteria represent the minimum set of requirements that the candidates have to compulsorily fulfill to be able to take admission in the University. As there will be multiple courses offered by GGIPU through its IPU CET 2024, the eligibility criteria also differ extensively for the said courses. Applicants are advised to check their eligibility criteria before proceeding with the application form filling for IPU CET 2024.
Age Criteria:
• For UG courses, the maximum age limit for the entering candidates is 21 years.
• For PG courses, the minimum age limit is 21 years and maximum age limit is 35 years.
• Bachelor of Vocation, applying candidate should not be beyond 45 years of age.
NATIONALITY
Candidates applying for IPU CET 2024 have to hold any one of the mentioned nationality-
• Indian National
• Overseas Indian national
• Nepal Citizens
Eligibility criteria for Graduate Courses
Candidates applying for IPU CET 2024 in order to seek admission in graduate courses like B.com Hons, BCA or BBA will have to attain a minimum aggregate of 50% in their 10+2 examination/ senior school certificate examination of CBSE (One language and four Elective subjects) or an examination equivalent to that. OR
Pre-university examination of an Indian School or College. (Two years after 10 years of schooling).
Lateral Entry for BSC Degree holders in B.Tech :-
Candidates applying for lateral entry admission should have the following- The minimum aggregate should be 60%. Candidate must be a BSC graduate from any recognized university. The cores subject should include mathematics when calculating the aggregate percentage.
Eligibility criteria for Post Graduate Courses
Candidates applying for Post Graduate courses should complete their graduation in their respective fields with minimum 55% marks and must obtain qualifying marks in their CET.
ADMISSION THROUGH CET
The candidates who have fulfilled the above criteria and filled the application form will now have to qualify the CET conducted by the university. The admissions are carried out precisely on the merit basis. This means that the candidates have to qualify and obtain a rank to be eligible to sit for further counseling process of the university.
ADMISSION THROUGH MANAGEMENT QUOTA
The candidate must have fulfilled the above-mentioned eligibility criteria of 50% in class 12th examination and obtained the required CET Rank.
Therefore, the candidates who fulfill the above-mentioned criteria in their particular courses can sit for further admission process.
APPLICATION FEES
Therefore, the candidates must check the website regularly. The application fee for IPU CET 2024 is Rs. 1200 for all the candidates. Applicants can make payment of application fee through debit/credit card/ net banking. The application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Applicants are required to give their Working and valid mobile number and a valid E mail ID.
Candidates from all over India can apply for this exam. Candidates can choose the center of their choice according to their need and convenience during the filling of IPU CET 2024 application form.
ADMIT CARDS
IPU CET 2022 Admit cards will be issued one week prior to the date of the exam. Applicants can download admit cards from the official website of the university by using valid login credentials. It will be important for the candidates to carry a TWO printed copy of the admit card to the exam centre.
EXAM PATTERN
The test paper will consist of 150 objective questions. Each question will have 4 alternate options, out of which only 1 option will be the right answer. Student must select this and mark their responses on the OMR Answer sheet that will be provided to the students. Each question will carry four marks. There will be negative marking for each wrong answer in which 1 mark will be deducted. No marks will be deducted for unanswered question.
Total Time that will be provided to the candidates will be 2 Hours and 30 Minutes.
This means that the student will have to manage their time very diligently to answer all the questions in a given time.
RESULT
Result for IPU CET 2024 will be announced in an online mode. The result will be prepared in the form of merit/rank of each said candidate who appeared for IPU CET 2023. This result card is to be printed by the candidate and saved for further counseling round. The candidates are instructed to keep the admit card very carefully for the counseling round.
