MAT Scoring Pattern
The MAT scoring system is distinct. Instead of showing scores out of 150 raw, the scorecard shows a scaled score out of 600. Every right response receives one point, but every incorrect response receives a negative marking of -0.25. The Indian and Global Environment scores are displayed individually but are not used to determine the merit or percentile on the scorecard. The Merit Score is determined solely based on the four categories.

-
Participate in the Selection process
-
If selected, pay the admission fee
MAT Preparation 2026
The detailed method below can be used for the MAT preparation 2026.
-
Step 1. Comprehend the MAT exam pattern 2026: Language comprehension, mathematical skills, data analysis and sufficiency, intelligence and critical reasoning, and economic and business environment are the five main sections of the MAT exam, each of which consists of thirty questions. Despite having 40 marks, the Economic & Business Environment component is not taken into account when calculating a candidate's MAT score and percentile. Students should therefore give this part little emphasis.
-
Step 2: Examine each section's MAT syllabus: Examine the MAT curriculum to see which courses are covered. Pay close attention to topics that you may not fully comprehend.
-
Step 3: Gather reading materials and books by section: Give yourself eight to ten weeks to thoroughly study the subjects listed in the MAT syllabus. Consult the MAT preparation books (details below) or the TIME, CL, and IMS Coaching CAT preparation materials.
-
Step 4: Take MAT Mock Tests: Take MAT sample papers and mock tests once you have studied the MAT syllabus. Your ability to solve problems quickly is improved by taking practice exams.
