Online registration for the CUET UG 2026 exam for undergraduate admission to Central and other participating universities has started on January 3, 2026, alongside the release of the official notification by the National Testing Agency. Prospective students have until January 30, 2026, (up to 11:50 PM) to apply on cuet.nta.nic.in, and they must pay the application fee by January 31, 2026, (up to 11:50 PM). The exam is set for May 11–May 31, 2026.
CUET aspirants had until February 4, 2026 (up to 9:00 PM) to apply on cuet.nta.nic.in, and they had to pay the application fee by February 7, 2026 (up to 11:50 PM). The registration dates were initially planned to last till January 30, 2026, and the fee payment was scheduled to end on January 31, 2026.
The application window reopened from February 23 to 26, 2026, without offering a correction window, to allow candidates who missed the original deadline to apply for the exam.
The original correction window remained active from February 9 to 11, 2026, which was also extended from February 2 to 4, 2026. Apart from this, NTA also opened a specific subject-change window to allow candidates to change their chosen subjects for which they wished to appear for the exam, which continued from April 17 to 19, 2026.
The exams were concluded from May 11 to May 31, and the rescheduled dates for the May 28 and 31 exams were June 6 to 7, 2026. The provisional answer key and response sheets were released on June 9, 2026, and the challenge window was closed on June 11, 2026.

The application process was completely online via the official website, and no other means of application will be accepted.
Students were allowed to choose up to 5 subjects in their application form that aligned with their Class 12th subjects.

NTA used UIDAI records of applicants to fetch their personal information as mentioned on their Aadhaar Cards, except for their mother/father/guardian's name, which is not mentioned in the Aadhaar Records. Failing to do so will result in their application forms being rejected.

Aadhaar Verification Mandatory
The NTA released a public notification dated December 4, 2025, to reduce the procedural challenges faced by CUET UG 2026 candidates when completing the application. According to the notification, NTA used Aadhaar authentication to retrieve students' personal information from UIDAI databases, including name, address, date of birth, gender, and photo.
Since the Aadhaar card does not contain the information about the parents, they had to enter their mother's and father's names individually on their application. During the application period, candidates had the opportunity to correct any discrepancies between their personal information and their Aadhaar data, their 10th-grade academic certificate, or mark sheets.
CUET 2026 Eligibility Requirements
To apply and show up for CUET 2026, candidates must fulfil the qualifying requirements established by NTA. The following criteria must be met to qualify:
