Online registration for the CUET UG 2026 exam for undergraduate admission to Central and other participating universities has started on January 3, 2026, alongside the release of the official notification by the National Testing Agency. Prospective students have until January 30, 2026, (up to 11:50 PM) to apply on cuet.nta.nic.in, and they must pay the application fee by January 31, 2026, (up to 11:50 PM). The exam is set for May 11–May 31, 2026. 

As per the renewed dates released by NTA on January 30, 2026, prospective students have until February 4, 2026 (up to 9:00 PM) to apply on cuet.nta.nic.in, and they must pay the application fee by February 7, 2026 (up to 11:50 PM). The registration dates were initially planned to last till January 30, 2026, and the fee payment was scheduled to end on January 31, 2026.

The application process is completely online via the official website, and no other means of application will be accepted. 

The correction window was also extended from February 9 and will close on February 11, 2026, up to 11:50 PM, for candidates who want to make changes in their form. It was initially planned from February 2 to 4, 2026. They can choose up to 5 subjects in their application form that align with their Class 12th subjects.
 
The exam will be conducted in an online Computer-Based Test Mode. The candidates can now download the CUET UG syllabus PDF for 37 subjects, including 23 domain subjects, 13 languages, and 1 General Aptitude Test. The exam pattern and marking scheme will remain the same as last year.
 
NTA will obtain the applicant’s personal information from UIDAI records as mentioned on their Aadhaar Cards, except their mother/father/guardian's name, which is not mentioned on the Aadhaar Records. Failing to do so will result in their application forms being rejected.
 
Applicants with disabilities must have their UDID card/disability certificate validated, renewed, and updated as required.
 
Applicants from SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS must also have their category certificate validated, renewed, and updated as required.
 
Applicants from different categories will have to pay their registration fee according to their categories. They must pay their registration fee before Fenruary 07, 2026, till 11:50 PM, using a credit/debit card, UPI, internet banking, etc.

The CUET UG 2026 provides a single window opportunity to candidates seeking admission in any of the Central Universities/ Participating Universities (State/Deemed/Private) in CUET (UG)- 2026 across the Country.

CUET (UG) – 2026 will be conducted in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) Mode for the Academic Session 2026-27, as per the details given below.

Aadhaar Verification Mandatory

The NTA has released a public notification dated December 4, 2025, to reduce the procedural challenges faced by CUET UG 2026 candidates when completing the application. According to the notification, NTA would use Aadhaar authentication to retrieve students' personal information from UIDAI databases, including name, address, date of birth, gender, and photo. Since the Aadhaar card does not contain this information, they must enter their mother's and father's names individually on their application. During the application period, candidates will have the opportunity to correct any discrepancies between their personal information and their Aadhaar data, their 10th-grade academic certificate, or mark sheets.
 

CUET PG 2026 Registration Process Begins

The National Testing Agency started registration for the Common University Entrance Exam (CUET-PG) 2026 on December 14, 2026. Candidates can submit their CUET PG 2026 Application form through the official website at cuet.nta.nic.in. The last day to submit applications form for CUET PG 2026 was January 23, till 11:50 pm, and the last date to pay the fee was January 25, 2026. 
 

CUET 2026 Eligibility Requirements

To apply and show up for CUET 2026, candidates must fulfil the qualifying requirements established by NTA. The following criteria must be met to qualify:

  • To be admitted to bachelor's degree programs in the Central Universities, students must have completed their Class 12 studies from an accredited board in Science or a related discipline.
  • Class 12 students who have not yet taken the board exam are also eligible to apply.
  • The CUET UG 2026 test has no upper age limit for participation.
  • Applicants must be Indian

  • Candidates can only option to pick 3 central universities at once. They need to pay extra for each option they choose.

Candidates may select up to five papers or topics. Candidates must choose their preferred medium or language for the question paper in addition to their subject. Candidates must choose NA: Not Applicable for the remaining topic categories if they choose fewer than 10 subjects.

Candidates are recommended to validate the information they submitted by the end of this stage. They will receive an OTP in their email address, and after entering it, they will be taken to the page where they may pay their CUET 2026 application fee.

Step 7: Paying the Application Fee

The CUET 2026 application fee must be paid online with a wallet, UPI, credit card, debit card, or net banking. It should be mentioned that the form will show whether or not the applicant has paid the application cost.

Candidates must next complete the payment process and select their preferred payment method from Net Banking, Cards, or UPI.

Following a successful payment, an application confirmation message will show up on the screen. The message and document will also be sent to the candidates' registered email addresses.

Do not make unnecessary mistakes while filling CUET 2026 application form

Applicants should be aware that the NTA has the right to reject a CUET application form for 2026 for a variety of reasons. Therefore, it is advised that students avoid making the following mistakes:

  • You shouldn't upload a signature photo that is fuzzy.
  • Use plain white paper as a background while scanning the photos.
  • Make sure the necessary qualification certificates are uploaded

 

Consideration when completing the CUET Application Form 2026

  • Only three key universities may accept applications from applicants. If a student applies to more than three universities, they must reimburse the application fees.
  • The examination authorities of CUET will not accept a candidate's application form unless the CUET test fees have been paid in full.
